The Download Club is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect and why

• Membership status (plan, renewal dates) — to give you access to downloads. Legal basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, pages visited, downloads) — to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing preferences — only if you opt in. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host and run our website, database and email.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling memberships, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities, where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open and for up to 6 years afterwards where needed for legal or accounting reasons, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data.
